Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark in the village of Dabar

After the soldiers of the so-called Army of BiH occupied the Christian Serbian villages of Donji and Gornji Dabar, they set fire to the church and destroyed the church bell.
Muslims made up the absolute majority in the so-called Army of BiH.

The church was renovated by the Diocese of Bihac Petrovac, Serbian Orthodox Church.

Population and religion:
According to the 1991 census, the Serbian Christian population lived in the populated areas of Donji Dabar and Gornji Dabar.

At the census here were 565 Serbian Christians and zero Muslims living in the settlement of Gornji Dabar.
795 Christian Serbs and zero Muslims lived in the settlement of Donji Dabar.

According to the 2013 census, only 65 Serb Christians lived in the area of both Gornji Dabar and Donji Dabar.
Now there are about 20 Serbian Christians living in the area of Dabar.
These are mostly retired people, older people who, despite the threats and attacks that continue today, survive on their hearths.

According to data from the book "Spiritual Genocide" published by the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1997, the church was set on fire by Muslims.
