A new chapel made of solid material was built in 1980.

The chapel was renovated by the Serbian Orthodox Church, Metropolitanate of Dabro Bosna.

According to official data from the 1991 census, there were over 23,512 Christian Serbs living in the territory of Zenica.
According to official data from the 2013 census, there were 2,409 Serbs living in Zenica.
The so-called BiH Army expelled 21 thousand Serbs from Zenica.
They burned down all Serbian Christian villages and all Serbian Christian chapels.
Zenica was the headquarters of the third corps of the so-called Bosnian Army.

In the book "Spiritual Genocide" published in 1997 by the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, it is stated that the Gradisce chapel was set on fire in 1992 by Muslims.
