According to the 2013 census, only 9 elderly Serbs lived in Milanovac.

In the book "Spiritual Genocide" published in 1997 by the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, it is stated that the church in Milanovac next to Sanski Most was set on fire by Muslims in 1995.

After the war, the church in Milanovac was declared a monastery.
